Well it looks like the retirement season is at hand, while people retire year round it seems that the end of the school year brings a lot of teacher retirements as well as folks who have made great plans for the summer ahead! Songs intermixed with photos in a slideshow is a great way to say a lot and put forth a lot of emotion. So what are some good retirements songs? Well it really depends on the person who is retiring. My Hashimoto's Diet
I looked at a lot of different eating plans for Hashimoto's and I must agree that one of the healthiest hashimoto's diet is from Dr. Kharrazian, a diet aimed at helping to heal the body.
http://drknews.com/autoimmune-gut-repair-diet/
I agree that along with an autoimmune protocol and an elimination diet, that it is important to have carbs in the morning. I like Chris Powell's strategy's for keeping carbs in the mix so as to keep the metabolism fueled, however, for Hashimoto's it is my opinion that the AIP or autoimmune protocol mentioned at the above link is the best way to go.
Something I want to glean from Chris Powell, is that carbs are very important for metabolism. I really appreciate that he points out the need for carbs, especially early in the day to help "set" the metabolism, so to speak. The idea I'm receiving from Chris, is that for me to include carbs in the morning is for me to "FUEL" my body. Chris has some great ideas, I think he encourages 3 hours inbetween meals and 5 or 6 meals a day. He also has days that alter the type of foods you eat that day... Such as - he has incorporated low carb days, and has different ways to do his diet depending on your needs/desires, and I think there's a "DAY OFF" on his diet -- but you still shouldn't exceed a certain number of calories on that day -- but if you're longing for chocolate cake - that's the day to have it. "Trim Healthy Mama" is similar in that it encourages three hours inbetween meals, it also has varying meal types (high carb vs low carb) but that you're never to mix a carb and a fat. So basically, your high carb meal will be a carb plus a protein, and your low carb meal will be a protein plus a fat, but never a carb plus a fat, if I recall correctly. There are all sorts of low-carb ideas going on out there, but being a Hashimoto's hypothyroid person means that METABOLISM MATTERS to me, I want to get some carbs in this diet - while yet having low carb options going on as well.
p.s. (I'm trying to figure out what works for me... I'm not a nutritionist - so any ideas I offer here -- feel free to take them with a grain of salt (iodized or non-iodized - I'm not sure which...) check with your doctor before taking any of my advice, you are responsible for your own body and yourself.

Everything Rides on Hope Now - by Addison Road
Everything Rides on Hope Now - by Addison Road
If everything comes down to love
Then just what am I afraid of
When I call out Your name
Something inside awakes in my soul
How quickly I forget I'm Yours
(PRE-CHORUS)
I'm not my own
I've been carried by You
All my life
(CHORUS)
Everything rides on hope now
Everything rides on faith somehow
When the world has broken me down
Your love sets me free
When my life is like a storm
Rising waters all I want is the shore
You say I'll be ok and
Make it through the rain
You are my shelter from the storm
(CHORUS)
Everything rides on hope now
Everything rides on faith somehow
When the world has broken me down
Your love sets me free
I am not my own
I've been carried by you all my life
(CHORUS)
Everything rides on hope now
Everything rides on faith somehow
When the world has broken me down
Your love sets me free
(Repeat 2x)
(CHORUS 2)
You've become my hearts desire
I will sing Your praises higher
Cause Your love sets me free
Your love sets me free
Your love sets me free

The Worship Leader
Shout to God all creation
How awesome is the Lord most high..."
He sings outloud as he plays skillfully on his guitar, his heart worships as he prepares the worship for our church family tomorrow.
"...Sing praise... Sing praise... Forever God is faithful, forever God You're strong..." He sings on as he continues onto the next song, his voice strong and beautiful in melody as his heart sings out.
Thank You Lord for this beautiful man, for this man who is Your child Lord God, one of Your servants, my husband, and because we are washed in the blood of the Lamb, we are also brother and sister in Christ. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, our Redeemer. He brings us up from the pit and rescues us to beautiful places.
I am thankful for my husband, who is my brother in Christ, my best friend and my love...
How I cherish him.
This humble man works so hard. He works not only in life but he also works to make his relationship with God a priority. God is at work in this man.
In my flesh I am full of contradictions and imperfections. I lift myself to God, and I ask God, please forgive me Lord. I need You Lord. In response, the One True God offers to all mankind forgiveness and cleansing. We are the clay and He is the Potter. We give ourselves to God and He works within us to make a beautiful vessel for Him.
Praise the Lord.
May we offer ourselves in our marriages, bonded together in Jesus Christ, vessels of soft clay that God can work with as we draw near to God and to one another.

Good Morning - Start Anew
Psalm 103:12 --
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
That's what the Bible says. What else about the forgiveness of sins? Who has sinned and who is forgiven? Thanks to my trust friend "BibleGateway.com" I can find out anything that the Bible has to say quickly.
There are so many scriptures on forgiveness!! I'm going to share this one for now:
Romans 3:22-24
22 This righteousness is given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Wishing you a wonderful new day!

Missionary Dating: On a Mission to Get Him Saved
"There I was, standing at the entrance of my church for the zillionth time. Waiting for Bob, or maybe it was John or it could have been Dave. It didn't matter because there seemed to be a pattern – a pattern where I would meet this great guy,and he would tell me "Sure, I go to church," which, of course, was enough information for me to date him."
This is only the beginning of a MUST read important subject if you or someone you know is missionary dating.

Word... Inspiration...
1. Pick a word... Here are a few suggestions... Jesus, salvation, saved, believe, holy, Hell, Heaven, path... You get the idea...
2. Go to: http://www.biblegateway.com/keyword/
3. Type your word in the search bar just below where it says "Enter word(s)" I'm going to type in the word love.
4. Where it says select version, you can select a lot of Bibles to choose from, but choosing the first on the list, the NIV (New International Version) helps for easy accurate reading.
5. Look at your options of where in the Bible you want to look. I'm going to limit my search to the New Testament.
6. Click on Search Keyword or Phrase...
7. Vwalah... Here you have it. Now if something stands out to you, click on the verse and you can select to read verses around it, or even more for context. I'm going to pull out a few of the verses that included the word love.
Luke 10:27
He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ ; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
John 15:9
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,a]">[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 12:9
[ Love in Action ] Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
1 Corinthians 8:3
But whoever loves God is known by God.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Jude 1:21
keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

True Friendship
The resounding bottom line: Stay true. Be honest. Love one another. A friend loves at all times. Though the waves are crashing and a fog is rolling in, yet God is true, He remains the same and He never changes. His love can conquer what we cannot. What our love is faint to accomplish, weak to attempt, God is able. He is able to deliver, to clear the sky, to calm the storm.
I will rest in Thee.

We Need A Rescue
The rescue capsule is being prepared and shortly it is expected to be lowered to save the trapped miners. People all around the world are waiting, watching to see if the men will be saved or if it will be a failed attempt to save these men; men with families, hearts beating; lungs filling with air and exhaling, thoughts in their minds, hopes in their hearts...
The state of mankind is lost. We are like those miners, lost in the dark, wandering and searching for hope. Christ shines His light to us! He offers us hope everlasting! The hope of our rescue with Jesus Christ is secure! Behold, He stands at the door and knocks... Will you let Him in? Will you let Him in to rescue you? His rescue is sure and successful. Come to Christ, don't wait.
Life is Short -- Start fresh each new day
Tomorrow is a new day and life is short, what are you doing tomorrow? I want to encourage you to pray and ask the One True God, the Lord Jesus Christ, that He would guide you and lead you and come into your life and help you to see that life is worth living, and that comfort and blessing and love and peace abound when Jesus is leading the way and you are allowing Him that place of leadership in your life.
This week is another new week and life is short, what are you doing this week? Consider what the Lord would have you do this week to seek Him and to reach out to Him for His help, love and salvation, and how He wants to show you His love and salvation. His yoke is easy, His burden is light; go to Christ Jesus and you'll find rest for your souls. It doesn't change the fact that this life is hard -- but when you have the Lord in your life to help you through it makes things much, much better, there is hope for every tomorrow, comfort, peace and true love -- yes, true love. God is love.
Here's a great free website where you can search the Bible and get help and hope for your tomorrows: Bible Gate Way -- I encourage you to read the Bible, get hope and help from the Word of God.
